Genta has reached end of life
A really big thank you!
Honestly being my first ever deployed web app, I think I did pretty well! But I wouldn’t have been able to even fathom the idea of building something this large and complex without all the people around me. Specifically, I wanted to thank David, my ‘client’ who did a lot more than just being a client. He spent hours helping me work through the design and make a product that actually looked good.
I also want to thank a super skilled friend of mine, JC, and my software tutor, Mike, for guiding me through the complex AWS workflows and setting up things like nginx and gunicorn. Without them, I’d definitely be stuck crying for days on a single unexplained error, and Genta would have a thousand security problems. I also wanted to thank all of my beta testers for helping me see past my rose-tinted glasses, and my software engineering teacher Matt for pushing me to complete Genta.
About Genta
Genta was a productivity tool for people who work on solo projects. Oftentimes, we'd much rather switch from our myriad of Google Docs files, todo lists, and scattered planners to a proper project management tool. But proper tools are typically way too complex and not what we need. So, Genta is built from the ground up to offer one centralised place for all your notes and todos!
Genta is open source!
Those who helped me along the way!
